Murder Charge Over Primrose Hill Stabbing
A 21-year-old man, Finbar Sullivan, was formally accused of murder after being stabbed to death in Primrose Hill. The incident occurred near the scenic viewing point of the north London park on Tuesday. The Metropolitan Police reported that Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, from Southbury Road, Enfield, was arrested on Friday and charged with murder on Sunday.
Ogunyankinnu is set to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man arrested on suspicion of aiding the suspect has been released without additional charges. The police confirmed the investigation remains active as they seek more details about the attack.
Victim’s Background and Family Reaction
Sullivan, a film student at the London Screen Academy, was described by his father, Chris Sullivan, 65, as a cherished figure. “He was my only son, known to friends and family as Fin. Everyone admired him—he was the light, the leader,” the father told BBC London. He added that the victim’s friends’ parents also held him in high regard, emphasizing the depth of the tragedy.
Another Injured Individual
Officers discovered a man in his 20s with stab wounds on Regent’s Park Road nearby. He was hospitalized, though his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. The police have not yet disclosed the connection between the two victims or the motive behind the attack.
