A 19-year-old woman, identified as Jamie-Lea Biscoe, lost her life after being attacked by a dog at her residence in Long Hide, Leaden Roding. Essex Police arrived at the scene shortly after 10:45 PM BST on Friday, discovering her in critical condition. Despite immediate medical interventions, she was declared dead at the location, according to the police statement.

The incident has led to the arrest of a 37-year-old man from Dunmow, who is suspected of allowing his dog to act dangerously out of control. The animal was confiscated by officers, and the area was secured to ensure safety. A temporary police barrier remains around the property as of Sunday.

Assistant Chief Constable Stuart Hooper expressed condolences to the victim’s family, stating,
