Eamonn Holmes Hospitalized After Stroke

GB News confirmed that Eamonn Holmes, a well-known broadcaster, is currently in hospital and showing positive signs after suffering a stroke. The channel shared the update in a statement, noting he was taken ill last week and the condition was later diagnosed as a stroke. Colleagues at the network have expressed hope for his quick return to health.

About Eamonn Holmes

The 66-year-old joined GB News in 2022 to co-host its morning show, alongside Ellie Costello. His recent health challenges include spinal surgery, a double hip replacement, and reliance on a mobility scooter. Fellow presenter Alex Armstrong is set to temporarily take over his duties in the coming days.

“Eamonn is a loved member of the GB News family,” said CEO Angelos Frangopoulos in a brief statement.

Understanding Strokes

A stroke happens when blood flow to part of the brain is interrupted, as explained by NHS guidelines. Common symptoms include facial drooping, arm weakness, and speech difficulties. Immediate medical action is crucial if these signs are noticed.
